Primero Operating, Inc. is an Oil and Gas operator with headquarters in Roswell, NM.  The company was founded in 1990 with the merger of two local operators.  Primero is owned by Phelps White who has been actively working in oil and gas operations for over 30 years.  Phelps’ credentials can be found on this website.

Primero Operating, Inc. operates wells in Chaves, Lea, Eddy and Roosevelt counties in New Mexico.  Primero also operates wells in Gaines and Crockett counties, in Texas.  Primero is actively looking for drilling and work over prospects generated by others for its own operations.

In 2007, Primero Operating, Inc. was awarded a contract to manage a water exploration and development program for Sandoval County, New Mexico.  Two deep brackish water wells were successfully drilled and completed in Sandoval County, and the county has plans to develop more wells in the future.
